Where is Ocean Pointe?

Located in Ewa Beach, Ocean Point is on the west side of Fort Weaver Road. This is a major highway that connects Ewa Beach to the Farrington Highway. One of the major cross streets is the Kapolei Parkway, which connects to the Kapolei City Center.

Ocean Pointe Neighborhood

Ocean Pointe was a pioneer of the planned community trend that would emerge on Oahu in the 80s. When the Haseko group purchased the land in 1988, they would spend two decades building homes that were extremely popular for homebuyers in Ewa Beach. From 1998 to 2009, they constructed beautiful homes that were highly desirable. In 2005 and 2006, they peaked in popularity, resulting in extremely high home prices. A couple of years later, the market would decline drastically, but Ocean Pointe homes have always been able to recover and remain popular and hold their value. While they may never return to their peak popularity, that means they are more affordable to average home buyers who want their own slice of paradise.

Ocean Pointe Real Estate

Single-family homes in Ocean Pointe start around $650,000 and can cost up to $1 million. Townhomes in Ocean Pointe cost between $450,000 and $700,000.

Residents of Ocean Pointe have access to the community pool and sundeck. This area overlooks the lagoon, so its views are incredible, especially during sunset.
The Laulani Village Shopping Center is close by, offering residents great amenities like Walgreens, Ross, Petco, and more.

Residents are also within walking distance to the beach, which makes Ocean Pointe a great community to call home.

Types of Homes at Ocean Pointe

The homes at Ocean Pointe are on the larger side for Oahu houses. These homes are typically three bedrooms and two bathrooms with two stories of living space. Every residence comes with a fenced yard, central air, and a two-car garage. Some of these features can be difficult to find, so it’s a massive draw that all three are included in Ocean Pointe homes.

There is a constant demand for Ocean Pointe homes. The proximity to the ocean makes it easy for residents to hit the beach on a daily basis. Living close to Hoakalei means that there is a beautiful backdrop of the most meticulously maintained golf courses in the area. The communities of Ewa Beach and Ewa Plain are continuing to grow, and there are many great businesses to enjoy.

Ocean Pointe also offers townhomes as an option for home buyers. The homes are on the newer side. The townhomes were built in clusters, so it’s an attractive community with lovely green spaces, beautiful trees, and a pleasing environment. Each townhome includes a yard, and some include both a front and a back yard. The townhomes in Ke Aina Kai, Townhomes at Fairways, Mariners Place, and Spinnaker Place all have this benefit, so regardless of the community, each one is the same. The townhomes provide residents with access to a pool, recreation options, and clubhouse.

Townhomes are more predominant over condos because West Oahu has strict rules to keep high-rise apartments out of the community. They want to maintain the distinct Hawaiian atmosphere, and large buildings work against that.

Future Communities

Ewa Beach is an established census-designated place on Oahu, so there is little room for growth unless builders are replacing homes that have already been constructed. Because of the lack of space, demand has been driven up, and so have the prices in the area. Residents love Ewa Beach, and in recent years, the perception of the community has drastically changed. With the addition of great amenities, beautiful homes, and businesses continuing to choose to set up shop in the area, it’s no wonder that so many people want to move here. Prices have shown steady growth and continue to grow, and the overall market is strong. Many homebuyers choose to purchase their vacation homes or investment properties in the area.
