Solomon Cordwell Buenz, the architect entrusted with Mahana's design, has drawn inspiration from the colonnade-style architecture of the Hawaii State Capitol. The design is not only accommodating for a future rail station but also boasts a grand triple-height porte cochere, making the space welcoming for pedestrians and cyclists. The building plans include 106 bicycle parking stalls at street level, and a total of 503 parking spaces for cars, providing a perfect balance of convenience and sustainable living.

Importantly, unlike its siblings Kalae and The Launiu, Mahana will not offer any reserved units. Ward Village has already surpassed its reserved housing requirements with Ulana, Ke Kilohana, and Aalii.
