Experience on January 13, 2018 -- Waking up early Saturday morning on January 13, I headed over to the IBM Building where I found myself 18th in line. Overall, about 50 brave souls spent the night. I asked a couple more people to come and spend the night with me. In the end, I contracted 3 Aalii homes to owner occupants! Of course, by knowing other agents that were in line with me (and lucky that their clients didn't show up) I was able to acquire the #3, #14, #16 and #81 overall picks for my clients. I have to say they were extremely happy!
Almost 2 years ago, in December of 2016, I had the privilege of providing public testimony of why I felt that the HCDA Board should approve Aalii's construction and allow Howard Hughes to continue its master plan for Ward Village. Part of my testimony was quoted in the December 8, 2016 Honolulu Star-Advertiser as saying: "The Howard Hughes vision for Ward Village is great." It is a simple sentence but it means so much. Once completed, Howard Hughes' master planned Ward Village will be something special that the people of Hawaii will be proud of...and the next step for that vision is building Aalii.
