Cabana at Waikiki Condos in Honolulu, HI
Built in 1967, Cabana at Waikiki is a small 4-floor "condotel" housing just 15 1-bedroom units in Eastern Waikiki. Though this condotel is a bit smaller than other residences in the area, it offers excellent proximity to Waikiki's amenities such as Waikiki and Kuhio Beach, the Honolulu Zoo and Kapiolani Park, and more. Not to mention, this condotel is located two blocks away from Kalakaua Avenue, a famous shopping and dining strip that runs through all of Waikiki.
Cabana at Waikiki is also one of the few Waikiki condos that allows owners to operate legal Honolulu vacation rentals.
Cabana at Waikiki is located within great proximity to a variety of shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, and experiences. Most notably, Waikiki Beach is just a 9-minute walk down the road, which is an incredibly popular tourist-heavy beach where you will find lots of swimming, lounging in the fine sands, plus water sports like surfboarding, paddleboarding, and kayaking.
A few blocks away is the International Market Place, which is an open-air shopping center on Kalakaua Avenue featuring many small boutiques, large chain stores, designer shops, restaurants and cafés, and more. This is a great place to walk around and admire the beautiful architecture while window shopping and enjoying the Hawaiian climate. Much more shopping is located all along Kalakaua Avenue, with many more stores and restaurants lining the entire strip.
Down Cartwright Road in the opposite direction is the Honolulu Zoo, which houses over 900 animals over 42 acres of lush green land. This zoo features multiple animal enclosures, a keiki zoo, a playground, and a petting zoo, making this a great all-day activity for families with children. The Honolulu Zoo is right down the street, which is a 3-minute walk from Cabana at Waikiki, as well. For those who want to do a bit of outdoor exercising, Kapiolani Park is an 8-minute walk away, and the Diamond Head Crater Hike is only an 11-minute drive from Cabana at Waikiki.
Unfortunately, Cabana at Waikiki does not offer any amenities to guests besides a few of the units coming with parking spaces. However, Cabana at Waikiki's location and proximity to many of Waikiki's popular tourist destinations, shopping spots, eateries, and more make up for it.
As previously mentioned, Cabana at Waikiki offers only 15 units, all of which are 1-bedroom units and measure 365 square feet with a private lanai that adds an additional 50-58 square feet. Since this building is shorter and located in a tighter street area, most of the lanais will have views of the surrounding buildings and streets.
